Divine Favor Testimony submitted by Shani Fagan 

I had been having a really hard time in school. My schedule has been very rigorous and I’ve had a hard time keeping up. It resulted in me being put on academic probation. I was devastated. You have to maintain a certain GPA to remain in my program and it is very competitive. If you are asked to leave, you may not be readmitted to the program. I began to doubt what I was doing. I was spending so much time on studying, that I was barely seeing my family.

God started putting people in my life who were willing to help me. Favor starting coming out of nowhere.

I began working with a group of students that were working on the same assignments and tests. Though I had not been doing as great as everyone else, God began to show me that I had knowledge on subjects that would be useful to me later on in the program. The greatest surprise came when I looked at my grades and found I had received 20 points higher on an exam than I thought I would receive. This still placed me in the C range for a very difficult class. I was content with that and was determined to try harder the next semester. I looked at my grades a few days later, and saw I was given the 5 extra points on my final average to receive a B in that class! WOW! God is so amazing! Evan when we doubt, He reminds how He is in control. If God has a specific plan for your life, It WILL come to pass.   

 

 

Pastor Edlin showed me how I can know Christ as my Savior.

I thank the Lord every day for Pastor walking into my store. I have attended services regularly at Faith Temple and have enjoyed them very much. My best friend asked me if I had won the lottery. I asked him why, since I have never played. He noticed something different in my outlook of life and my attitude. Yes, the Holy Spirit does bring change into our lives. Every since my 1st service at Faith Temple, many people recognized I was new and always welcomed me. I was so amazed at the love and warmth everyone has showed me. Four months later I still receive that same feeling as though it was my 1st service. Pastor Edlin has given inspirational sermons every week that address critical life issues. They hit home every single time. He is truly led by the Holy Spirit. 

Healing and Miracle Testimony

I work at a local restaurant, and during my shift a child began to choke.  Motherly instincts kicked in and  I literally grabbed him from his mother's arms and began the Heimlich maneuver.  I prayer out loud calling on the blood of Jesus.  Immediately everyone became silent, the mom had her eyes closed.  The child was throwing up blood.  God saved this child from choking.  Glory and honor be to God.  I never though twice about praying for him or even if the mom was OK with it, I just did it.

It's time for us to take back what is ours and forget about what is “politically correct.”   The woman called the restaurant the next day to thank me. She told my manager the obstruction was so bad; it had cut the child’s throat. He could have died if it hadn’t been for what God did through me. God is so good! 

Salvation Testimony

About a week after the 2008 elections, Pastor Steve Edlin came into my store to look at neckties. I had recognized him from coming into my store previously. I recalled the media reports about Faith Temple and the dispute over the land on Westfall Road, with the town of Brighton. We talked a few minutes about world issues. Several days later, I sent Pastor Edlin an email. It seemed like we had similar concerns we face in today’s society and the turmoil that surrounds us. After that Pastor invited me to come to meet with him. I feel he recognized my fear and told me that Christians find peace and security solely in Jesus Christ.

"For the past couple of weeks I’ve been having problems with my right knee. Monday evening at the end of worship, Pastor Darla said for everyone to hold hands before we leave and pray. At the moment when I touched the person next to me, my right knee “snapped” and I had an amazing feeling.Now I am healed with no more pain since then! Thank you Lord!"

Instead, I went up for prayer and JeannetteValle prayed for me – not knowing she was praying directly for my hands. Alittle later I felt relief and by the evening my hands were pain-free!  My doctor said the x-ray shows there’s nothing wrong!"

New Job with Better Hours

"At my old job, I was required to work on Sundays and I was not able to attend church. I am happy to report that I received a new job that enables me to work from Monday through Friday 8-4pm. In addition, I was blessed with a part-time job and both are an increase. I believe the seeds I’ve planted have brought me a harvest!"

Testimony of God’s Faithfulness

"The Lord has brought me far. When I was deep in sorrow, he brought me out. He has strengthened me to move on when I wanted to give up. He has shown me the things he has done for me. He has never left me, so I say to myself every day – “I am healed” and the Lord has already replaced my sorrowwith joy!"

"Pastor Darla prayed for my husband regarding a cancerous tumor.  She gave me an anointed cloth to give him, which I did.  A few days later the doctor told us the tumor had shrunk by 50%!  Praise God!  Thank you Pastor Darla."

"My husband is trying to immigrate to the United States.  After fasting and praying I received notice that that his immigration application had been approved.  A process that can take 6 to 12 months took only 3 months!"

No More Pain - "On Monday night during prayer Pastor Darla asked us to come up front and make a circle.  During our prayer time I felt severe back pain, but when I got home later the pain was gone!  All glory and honor to God who healed me!"

"I was in the OR for surgical removal of tumors. When they went inside the large tumor was not there and 2 of the smaller ones were shrinking before the doctor's eyes. They said they had never seen anything like this before. They said I could go home and that everything was fine. All glory and praise to God! "

"A while back, I received a prophetic word that God would give me the desires of my heart. In the last weeks, I needed al large a large amount of money to pay off penalties I had accrued on tickets. As a consequence, I had also lost legal use to my driver's license. 

I continued to stand on the word in the midst of it all. Recently, I had a financial breakthrough! I received all the money I needed to pay each fine and …I also obtained my driver's license back with a clean record! As an extra, I was blessed with a car that I've wanted for 22 years! 

Stand on His Word continually, he will give you what you are in need of and grant you the desires of your own heart!"

Physical Healing

"A couple of months ago I was diagnosed with Lumbar Spinal Stenosis. This condition is often associated with incapacitating pain in the back and lower extremities. This had been going on for months. The doctors said I would need back surgery to correct the problem. A couple of weeks ago at an alter call, Pastor Moses began to pray for my back and immediately took authority, and I agreed with him. As we prayed for healing he said I would not need surgery.

Last week I had an appointment with the surgeon to talk about the surgery. He told me my   back was not as bad as anticipated and surgery was not in the near future.

Praise God for my healing! "

God cares about even the details...

"I was very tired today. Usually I am very good about putting things in order but somehow, everything got out of control. I also need more shelf space. In prayer, I asked God for help organizing.

Not more than one hour later, one of my relatives took over and reorganized almost all of my shelves.  What amazed me is that my prayers were answered so rapidly! I need to pray more!!! (smile)"

Saved from a Storm

 

"I would like to thank the church for praying for my children and I while we were in Jamaica. When my husband called to say the church had prayed for us, I asked what time? He said it was 12, which was 11:00 Jamaican time. It was at that same hour we got reports that the storm has moved south and would not hit us head on.

 

I know it was the prayers of the church family that helped move that storm and I didn't have a doubt in my mind God touched the eye of the hurricane and moved it out of our path. Thank you; it's so good to be home Amen!"

 Rapid Business Increase


"Faith Temple congregation, God has truly blessed my business in just 12 short months. 


A little over a year ago, I moved back to Rochester from the Dallas, Fort Worth area. Upon my return I started a courier and freight delivery business with my cousin. 

On October 1, 2007, our first day of business we generated a whooping $63.36 from making 3 deliveries.

Since then, we've signed 3 different contracts with UPS. We also have acquired contracts with the University of Rochester, Paychex and various other local companies in the Rochester area. We've also received our New York State and National Minority Supplier Diversity Council minority certifications.

We wanted to add warehousing and tractor-trailor services to our existing courier business. We felt that this would make us more competitive in the industry. We brought in an investor, who helped launch our tractor-trailer service. Within one week, we started carrying loads, daily, to and from the New York city area. 

As for our warehouse search, warehousing space in Rochester typically goes or $5 to $6 dollars per square foot and we were looking for about 3000 square feet. God had a different plan, He revealed a warehouse located just north of downtown on St. Paul St. When we met with the owner and he found out we were minority certified just as he was, he offered us 25,000 square feet of warehouse space for &3,200.00 per month, which averaged out to be $1.44 per square foot. 

He also informed us that he was contacted by Johnson & Johnson and wants to use our warehouse to store some of their products. This opportunity is made possible because we were minority certified and they needed to spend money with a company that had similar certification. The owner of the warehouse informed me that this contract has an estimated annual worth of between $500,000 to $1 million if we were to store and deliver their products.

This is awesome news but warehousing was not one of our specialties. However, God had a plan! The wife of one of our drivers was recently laid off from a UPS warehouse here in Rochester, where she was a logistics specialist. At UPS, her responsibilities included handling the Johnson & Johnson account. She had a very good understanding of warehousing and what that company is looking for in a warehousing operation, so we hired her on the spot!

We've been in business over a year now making successful deliveries. We have a long way to go to reach our goals for our business, but with God's blessings we have no doubt that our goals will be met. God has truly blessed us and our business and He will bless you as well!"
